Process Paper
When I chose my topic for my NHD project, I wanted to choose something that I was grateful for or interested in. Right off the bat, I thought of women’s rights. Women’s rights is a big topic so I narrowed it down to the one person who had the biggest influence on women’s rights. That one person is Susan B. Anthony. She is known for her kindness, and her stubbornness, but most of all, her history with women’s rights. She was so focused and determined; even if she went to jail she would still be one of the most historic women in America.
For my research on Susan B.Anthony, I went to the library. There was a lot of interesting books but I was looking for books on Susan. There were some but not many, I took those to the checkout and left. There I found five books on Susan and Women’s rights. I also found lots of articles on the internet about and by Susan B., as well as pictures and her Address to the Court. I found out that Susan was a fighter, and she wouldn’t give up. She was dead long before there was a nineteenth amendment, but without her there would be no nineteenth amendment. After a while I decided that a couple paragraphs and a map wasn’t enough, so I went on to YouTube and searched Susan B. Anthony and found a couple documentaries here and there and looked at a few, then I finally found the right one.
I selected my presentation category, by first reading all of the options. The paper, I don’t like writing; the exhibit is a little much for just one person; the performance is cool but again don’t like writing; a documentary would require a camera; but the website is cool, fun and technology based so I go on to weebly.com and started an account. Then I picked a website URL and a design and start ted typing in all I had learned about Susan B. Anthony Since weebly is easy to use I got my website up and running in about 30 minutes. All I had to do was drag the elements on to the page and type the
paragraphs, or the URL or the location and it was set. I picked a design that I thought was cute and funky, while being a little professional. The weebly website created was fun, easy and efficient.
Susan B. Antony connects to the theme because she was one of the most known and influential people in the woman’s rights movement. Susan worked almost her whole life to help women earn their rights to do all of the things that men do (vote, work, own property, etc.). Before her time, there was barely anyone who would stand/ speak up for women’s rights. So being that pronounced earned her way into history.
